Objective To investigate the curative effect of rib cartilage framework supporting combined with local flap grafting for correction of cryptotia. Methods Fourteen cases (nineteen ears) were corrected by rib cartilage framework supporting combined with local flap grafting method from January 2017 to March 2019. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/caerulein.html Part of the 7th rib cartilage was carved into a scalloped cartilage piece, which was implanted on the retroauricular cartilage to release and expand the deformed cartilage. A "M" incision was designed on the retroauricular skin to make the local flap grafting. Results All corrected auricles were followed up for four months to three year and abtained satisfactory and stable appearance. In one case, the edge of the helix was broken two weeks after the operation, and well healed after repairing. Conclusions The rib cartilage framework supporting combined with local flap grafting method can fully correct the deformity of cryptotia, and the long-term effect is satisfied. It can be an important complement to the classic methods. Objective To investigate the effect and satisfaction of using the postauricular tongue-shaped flap combined with deep fascia suspension in correcting severe cup ear malformation. Methods Between August 2018 and November 2019, nine cases (10 ears) of Tanzer type ? severe cup ear malformation were treated with postauricular tongue-shaped flap combined with deep fascia suspension in this study. Results Nine cases primary healed without hematoma, infection or skin necrosis, except one case with postoperative incision dehiscence. The cup ear deformity was significantly improved after the operation, the helix was intact, and the anti-helix was visible. The length, width, and circumference of the auricle were significantly enlarged three months following surgeries. There were no other complications except 1 patient recurrence 12 months after surgery. The patients were highly satisfied with the results of the surgery. Conclusions Although the aesthctic of the reconstructed auricle is insufficient, this new technology makes full use of the autologous auricle tissue to correct severe cup ear malformation with good results. The aim of this work is to compare the diagnostic accuracy of Duplex ultrasound (DUS) and CT angiography (CTA) in the study of arterial vessels, in patients with chronic peripheral arterial disease (PAD) of the lower limbs to undergo endovascular revascularization with the use of intraprocedural digital angiography (DSA).
94 patients with obstructive pathology of the arterial axes of the lower limbs were enrolled in the study. In all patients, endovascular revascularization treatment was considered the most suitable therapeutic choice. For this reason, ultrasound and CTA was performed preoperatively in all and based on the data obtained it was decided to classify the arterial tree into five segments iliac, common femoral, superficial femoral, popliteal and infra-geniculate. According to the degree of stenosis or occlusion, the arteries were scored in no stenotic, stenotic and occluded. The comparison of the data provided by the DUS and the CTA was carried out with reference to the parameters obtained by ton, in order to reduce the use of contrast-enhanced radiological imaging especially when a condition of intolerance to the contrast medium and/or renal insufficiency coexists.Congenital Hypothyroidism (CH) due to dyshormonogenesis may occur due to mutations in any of the key genes involved in thyroid hormone biosynthesis (TG, TPO, DUOX2, DUOXA2, SLC5A5, IYD, SLC26A4 and SLC26A7). Mutations in the Thyroglobulin gene (TG) are frequently associated with goiter, which may present fetally or neonatally, although a spectrum of phenotypes is reported. We present the case of a woman of Eritrean origin who presented in the third trimester of pregnancy in the early stages of labor. Ultrasound at presentation revealed a fetal neck swelling consistent with a goiter. Following delivery by caesarian section with minimal respiratory support, the infant was found to be hypothyroid with undetectable serum levels of thyroglobulin. Sequencing of the thyroglobulin gene revealed a homozygous donor splice site pathogenic variant (c.5686+1delG) not previously described in the literature. Levothyroxine treatment resulted in normal growth and psychomotor development. Goitrous CH with inappropriately low thyroglobulin has previously been reported in patients harbouring homozygous single nucleotide substitutions at the same TG donor splice site which result in exon skipping and Endoplasmin Reticulum retention of TG. We conclude that the TG c.5686+1delG pathogenic variant is the likely basis for our patient's fetal goiter and congenital hypothyroidism, and that the clinical phenotype associated with TG c.5686+1delG is comparable to that seen with single nucleotide substitutions at the same site.Ischemic stroke is a major chronic noninfectious disease that seriously endangers health. Acupuncture is effective for ischemic stroke and less adverse reactions. However, there is not enough clinical trial data and solid evidence could confirm how acupuncture work to cerebral functional connectivity changes, and whether the changes is related to the different stimulation quantity.
This is a multicenter, central-randomized, controlled, double-blind, noninferiority, 2 factors and 3 levels orthogonal clinical trial. A total of 100 participants with ischemic stroke aged from 40 to 80 were randomized into experimental group and control group, the experimental group was divided into 9 groups (A1-A9) according to different factors or levels, and each group have 10 participants. The whole study period is 17?days, including 1?week for baseline observation, 3?days treatment and observation, and 1?week follow-up. Primary outcome is the fMRI based on blood oxygenation level dependent. Secondary outcomes included National Institute of Health Stroke Scale, Modified Barthel Index, Brunnstrom stroke recovery, stroke Chinese medicine symptom. Clinical assessments will be evaluated at before and the 0?hour, 24?hours, 36?hours after treatment, and 1?week follow-up. The primary outcome of the postacupuncture effect were investigated by paired T-test, and the continuous outcome variables will be analyzed with univariate repetitive measurement deviation analysis. Adverse events will be noted and recorded for the safety evaluation.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the central mechanism of acupuncture stimulation quantity using time and frequency as control conditions. This study will provide reasonable stimulation parameters and strong mechanism evidence of cerebral central network for the use of acupuncture for ischemic stroke.
